Michael Bierut: Let's Talk About Clients

Michael Bierut says clients can sometimes be the best part of the design process. In 2010 at CreativeMornings, Michael Bierut of Pentagram goes over some past projects and what they taught him about clients. Michael Bierut is a graphic designer, design critic and educator. He attended University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning. After graduating he started working for Vignelli Associates in New York where he stayed at for ten years before becoming a partner at the design juggernaut Pentagram. At Pentagram his client list incudes: Alfred A. Knopf, the Walt Disney Company, Mohawk Paper Mills, Motorola, MillerCoors, the Toy Industry Association, Princeton University, Yale School of Architecture, New York University, the Fashion Institute of Technology, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Library of Congress, the Museum of Sex, and the New York Jets. Sounds exhausting, doesn't it? Michael clearly loves his work and, like the X-Men's Wolverine, 'he the best there is at what he does'.
